Content Marketing Intern

Keep A Breast is looking for a Content Marketing Intern for our Non Toxic Revolution (NTR) program. As an intern, you will play an integral role in assisting the core Keep A Breast Team in Los Angeles, California. This internship position will provide someone with substantial nonprofit content creation and marketing experience, including research and writing, measuring program outcomes, and online and social media marketing experience.
Non Toxic Revolution informs, educates, and inspires young people about the dangers of toxic chemicals in their environment and food supply—especially those linked to the initiation of breast cancer. NTR uses art, music, and creative messaging to inform, educate, and inspire young people to revolt against the dangers of toxic chemicals in their everyday environment and personal care products. Moreover, NTR also teaches young people to become their own health advocates, both personally and through activism.
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of NTR Content Marketing Intern is to assist the NTR Program Director in executing the program initiatives – Plastic Sucks, Open This Pit Up, Advocacy Petitions, and developing the NTR Online Marketplace. Working closely with the Program Director to document and promote educational content, as well as assist with creating, organizing, and executing content for the NTR online platforms and website.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work alongside the NTR Director to research, write, and pitch stories for blogs, social campaigns, and collaborations.
Writing blogs and social media copy.
Research and correspond with non toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free brands for the NTR marketplace.
Promoting Non Toxic Revolution initiatives and events across platforms and to the public through news sources, bloggers, and other influencers.
Brainstorm and produce online content for nontoxicrevolution.org.
Brainstorming and strategizing content for the latest initiatives.
Researching and writing content to publish across platforms.
Pushing out content online via social media and other sites online.
Researching blogs, websites, social media connections.
Attending events on behalf of NTR.
Perform basic administrative duties and day-to-day tasks for NTR.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be organized and reliable.
Have a passion for living (or learning to live) a healthy, mindful lifestyle, and interested in marketing or journalism.
Interested in activism and standing up for what you believe in with well researched education and strong-willed persistence.
Proven writing skills and social media savvy.
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Have access to your own computer equipment.
Be able to receive college credit. 4-month minimum, 10-20 hours per week (this is flexible), sometime between the hours of 10am - 5pm.
